Raffy inroduced the concert by saying what they were going to play. The first piece was by Mozart it was a quintet K174 in B flat, so Peter Carter came in for the 2nd viola. They all played very well and at times there was a lot of enthusiasm. After that there was another piece before the interval - it was a Brahms piece, another quintet piece No.2 in G. Peter Carter was in it again and they played very well again. After that shorter piece it was the interval.
After an half an hour interval they came out and played another Brahms piece but this time it was a sextet so Peter Carter played in all the pieces and on the last piece Bruno came in on the cello. When I saw him play two years ago he had trouble with the horsehair on his bow but they stayed on this time! After that everyone went and that was that. Each side of the interval was about one hour.
I like listening to the Quartet in this venue (St Myllin's Church, Llanfyllin) because the area is not too big and there is a nice atmosphere.
