"...for warmth and intimacy and glorious surroundings, Llanfyllin can scarcely be beaten"

Llanfyllin Workhouse, Y Dolydd

Y Dolydd is a handsome stone building, listed Grade II*, Britain’s finest example of a workhouse built under the New Poor Law of 1834. Purchased by a charitable trust in 2004, it is gradually being restored. Refurbished rooms provide a venue for intimate, cabaret-style concerts with an adjacent bar. The courtyard is a fine setting for outdoor concerts. There is plenty of parking on site.
