The Gwyl Gerdd Llanfyllin Festival

The Gwyl Gerdd Llanfyllin Festival was founded in 1971. The Allegri String Quartet, together with other musicians of international calibre, visit Llanfyllin during the summer months to perform classical chamber music in St Myllin's Church.

The Allegri are also involved in educational outreach work in the local schools during their visits.

This year is Young Musicians Year at Llanfyllin. Our Young Musicians' Concert took place on June 5 in Welshpool Methodist Church and was reviewed by a member of the committee.

Advance Notice: There will be a concert hosted by the Festival in Shrewsbury in April 2011
